Dear Sheppard Families, 

 

Sheppard PS is excited to introduce a Makerspace as an integral part of our learning experience. This is a space where students come to explore, create and deepen their understanding through hands-on learning. 

 

In order to continue using this space for building and construction, we require donations of specific items. Below is a list of the items we are in need of. Please consider donating any of the items (clean please) by sending them to school with your child.


  • Clean Cardboard or Pizza Boxes
  • Cups
  • Straws
  • Yarn & String
  • Fabric
  • Plastic
  • Plastic Bottles
  • Bubble Wrap
  • Paper Rolls
  • Tape (painters, masking, duct, Scotch)
  • Small Containers
  • Pipe Cleaners
  • Googly eyes
  • Toothpicks
  • Cable Ties
  • Elastics
  • Markers
  • Spools / ribbon holders(for wheels)
  • Yellow UHU Glue sticks
  • Hot Glue Guns and Hot Glue Sticks
  • Tinfoil
  • Wire
  • Tacks or push pins

 

We would also gladly accept donations of any technology or building material that you have to spare, such as robotics, Lego, K’nex, copper wiring, batteries, working sewing machines, pvc piping, etc. If you have any questions about donations, please contact Mr. Shortt or your child’s teacher.
