Sheppard Public School will be reopening for learning on Monday, February 5. Before and After School programs run by the WRDSB and the YWCA KW at the school will also reopen Monday.

Sheppard PS Reopening Monday, February 5

On Sunday January 28, Sheppard PS was impacted by a water main break. Facility Services and contractors have been hard at work, and as a result, Sheppard PS is now able to reopen. We want to express our sincerest gratitude for all of the Facility Services staff, contractors and tradespeople who have been hard at work, around the clock, to allow students to return to their school.

Their work continues in the basement areas of the school, requiring us to make some adjustments to support the reopening of the school. The washrooms located in the basement will be temporarily unavailable, though portable washrooms will be made available at the school. The portable washrooms are in an enclosed trailer, and will provide running water and soap for hand-washing. Staff will be temporarily assigned to support and supervise students accessing the portable washrooms.

It remains our goal to reopen the rest of the school safely and as quickly as possible.
